Chasing Cars

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life
Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads.
                                 -- SNOW PATROL

My sister and her family are on assignment this summer just over an hour north of us.  Thankfully, they were able to come down and spend some time with us so that the kids could chase each other up and down the stairs, build people tunnels for Emily, Ben, Thomas and Rosie to chug through, leap from the mattress to the floor with such force that we though the light fixtures would fall out of the ceiling, blow bubbles on the front porch, and cool down with popcicles.  We also had a chance to take them to the park for a few minutes to run around in the hideous heat so that they get the real feeling of what the concrete jungle of Atlanta is like in the middle of July.

We had a fantastic time.  The kids love each other and can't get enough. I hope that we are able to do this more often!

I cannot believe I got that perfect action shot of Ben's little toes stepping on the bubble.

After throwing goldfish at the kids and begging them to sit still for a moment, we were actually able to get one good shot of all of them!

Thank you Dana, Mary Grace and Ben for spending part of your summer with us. We love you!!!
