Linger

I'm in so deep, you know I'm such a fool for you,
You got me wrapped around your finger, ah, ha, ha
Do you have to let it linger? Do you have to, do you have to,
Do you have to let it linger?
                                                                --THE CRANBERRIES

The most decadent, delicious, pop 'em in your mouth treat:

Oreo Balls.

You will need:

1 package Oreos
1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
6 oz white chocolate chips
6 oz milk chocolate chips
2 Tbsp shortening, divided

Directions:

Place the oreos into a food processor, about 8 at a time and grind until very fine. Dump into a large mixing bowl.  Continue this process until all cookies have been ground.

Add softenend cream cheese to the cookie crumbs and mix with an electric mixer until well blended.  Shape into 1-inch balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.

Place them in the refrigerator for approximately 2 hours.

Place white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl with 1 Tbsp shortening. Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir and repeat until chocolate is melted.

Do the same for the milk chocolate.

Remove cookie balls from the refrigerator, and using a spoon, place the balls into the melted chocolate. Place back onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.  Using the tines from a fork, drizzle the opposite chocolate on top of the balls.

Refrigerate until firm.

Warn your guests that they need to bring an extendable belt.  And don't plan on any leftovers.
